AcroYoga is a unique practice that blends the spiritual wisdom of yoga, the loving kindness of Thai massage, and the dynamic power of Acrobatics.
These (5) days will be filled with deep exploration into the self and how we show up to support and create community. It is open to all levels of practitioners and you can come alone or with a friend.
At the end of the AcroYoga Halloween Intensive, you will have a broad knowledge of AcroYoga and the tools needed to apply its principles in every day life.

Intro to AcroYoga
Get High with your Friends!
Enjoy the fun and excitement of Parter Acrobatics and AcroYoga in a safe, fun and supportive environment. You will learn the power of trust, communication and support through basing, flying and spotting. We will learn and refine a wide range of foundational elements which will give you the tools necessary to build your AcroYoga practice.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31 (HALLOWEEN PARTY)
Partner Therapeutics Workshop
Soft and Strong
Learn and refine your ability to give and receive flying therapeutics. We will cover basic concepts of receptivity, communication, foundational therapeutic postures as well as transitions from one pose to the next. Come prepared to enjoy the benefits of floating massage!

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1
Partner Acrobatics WorkshopGrace in Flight and Smooth Transitions
Learn and refine your ability to transition(s) gracefully in and out of several foundational AcroYoga poses, with a focus towards washing machines.

Intro to Acrobatic Popping Workshop
Catch Some Air
Learn techniques and concepts to pop with ease and confidence. We will explore how t
o use popping as a transition to and from several poses with a focus on tempo, throwing and catching.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3
Advanced Acrobatic Transitions
From the Ground Up
This advanced acrobatics workshop will cover techniques and transitions for popping, spinning, and moving from L-basing to standing and back down again.

Anthony Alcalde began his journey as a healer and teacher in 1998. He currently teaches various styles of Yoga in Nicaragua and Internationally. As a yoga, acroyoga instructor, thai yoga practitioner and movement educator, he finds balance through giving and receiving. Thus celebrating the spirit of connection, empowerment and playfulness in his life. He embodies the beauty of trust through his practice of yoga, acroyoga, meditation and slackline.
Anthony is also an accountant, public speaker, and an award winning documentary filmmaker. From his work you will see his passion for social justice issues and the relationship it has to his country of heritage. He attended Seton Hall and the University of Utah in pursuit of his B.A. in Accounting. His film career began in the accounting department for the USA Network, Warner Brothers and the Sundance Film Festival. Shortly after moving back to New York, he worked as a Production Accountant and Manager for such Networks as E! Entertainment, Style and MTV.
