Join us for the annual Eco-Village Design Gathering at InanItah, where we will respond to current global transformation by designing and modeling opportunities for long-term sustainable and evolutionary living. The coursework explores and weaves together the four basic areas of sustainable community development and is certified as a Gaia Education Ecovillage Design Program in partnership with the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.
This is a participatory and experiential event. In addition to classroom time, discussions, media experiences, celebrations and rituals, we will take a practical hands-on approach to the curriculum, applying this course to help grow our eco-village. We will show how the Ecovillage Design Education mandala is universally applicable on global, community and personal levels.
Week 1: Social
Week 2: Ecological
Week 3: Economic
Week 4: Worldview
Yoga, tantra, and dynamic meditations will be offered on weekdays along with weekly Transparency Circles to deepen group intimacy. Everyone will also have a role in supporting the community through meal preparation, clean-up and general chores on the land. One weekend will include a Cross Cultural Workshop Day where the greater InanItah community including local co-creators are invited to share in celebrating and sharing our cultural gifts.
