Growing in harmony with nature!

This is the green and lush rainy season on Ometepe. It’s a time when the plants around us grow so fast you can actually see the change from day to day. We’ve been dancing with the rhythm of nature by putting 500 trees in the ground during June and July, including moringa, mango, cacao, coffee, grapefruit, guanabana, sapote, mamey, jackfruit, avocado, breadfruit, starfruit, mamon, eucalyptus, coconut, palm, nispero and malinche! The buildings have also been growing like mad. In the last six months we’ve put up the new Urraca community center, a workshop/storage shed, Erika’s house, the Jungle House, a love shack (ooh la la!), and a cob solar dehydrator.
