“It is possible that the next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a community – a community practicing understanding and loving kindness, a community practicing mindful living. This may be the most important thing we can do for the survival of the earth.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
Our community is founded on the principal that a conscious evolving lifestyle requires a multi-dimensional approach. This involves cultivating healthy relationships, regenerative ecological practices, alternative economies, and a supportive relationship with self and the cosmos.
We are exceptionally inspired by the Gaia Ecovillage Design Education curriculum, which was developed by long standing communities such as Findhorn in Scotland. It is a holistic model that integrates all essential elements of community design: Ecological, Social, Economic, and Worldview.
At InanItah we recognize the importance of this map, and we value the potential of interweaving the component threads of the Ecovillage design model. Keeping this map in our awareness creates the opportunity to develop a balanced community by building on this stable foundation. We apply these principles on a moment-to-moment basis and throughout our grand scale vision.
