Yoga

“Yoga supports us in establishing a new way of life that embraces both inner and outer realities.” –Swami Satyananda Saraswati, Bihar School of Yoga, India

Yoga is an ancient art of self-development. It is a supportive foundation for physical wellness and spiritual awakening.

Yoga teaches presence in the moment and facilitates the awakening of evolutionary life force energy, ultimately uniting the individual consciousness with universal consciousness. Grounded in the practices of physical postures, breath awareness, meditation, self-reflection and concentration, yoga balances the physical, mental, emotional and energetic bodies.

Early yogis practiced in the jungles of India and spent a lot of time observing and taking clues from nature. Solar and lunar energies are honored and recognized as living within the breath and in the energetic pathways of the body.  Additionally, many yoga asanas reflect and draw on the shapes and spirits of animals.

At InanItah, we offer opportunity to practice yoga in the heart of nature, observing as the ancient yogis did the rhythms and cycles of the universe that lie within all of us. Yoga classes at InanItah take on a therapeutic approach, aiming to cultivate harmony and balance in the moment. Instructors check in with the energies present and deciding the appropriate practice for the day, month, year or season.
