The Sweat Lodge is an ancient pan-cultural fire ceremony, bringing people together in celebration and purification. Rocks (ancestors) are heated in the fire (masculine principle) and brought into the lodge (feminine principle) and given water to create steam (transformation).
The lodge can be conducted in any number of ways depending on the tradition and intention. Rupert combines various influences and practices in the lodge with an emphasis on fun.
One Saturday the workshop will be closed with a Sweat Lodge ceremony. It is possible to join this 1-day ceremony separately too.
RUPERT
Rupert practices Shamanic Healing and runs sweat lodges in various styles and traditions depending on the occasion; whether a community celebration or for focused healing and transformation. He facilitates movement and meditation retreats and created Shala 142 in Goa, India – a center for Sweat Lodges and the Shamanic Arts. The focus of his work is the release of excess mental, physical and emotional tension with light-hearted and cheerful approach.
