Choktober Fest 2010

Communion through chocolate and dance is the fast track to enlightenment in rural Nicaragua.  On Saturday night our small island community gathered together to celebrate Choktober Fest 2010 in observance of good friends and the magical gifts of Cacao(Chocolate).

Simone, our Swiss-made culinary magician and Pete the British woodsmith co-created the idea of Choktober Fest to celebrate their October birthdays in a robust and tasty fashion.  Of course they received nothing but support and excitement from the rest of us as we gathered together to dream up lavish ideas about what delicious cacao treats to prepare.

The festivities began with seven mouth-watering chocolate varieties and three fresh organic frescos (natural juices).  As a delicious tribute to life, love and chocolate we danced into the moonlight powered by the immeasurable energy of cacao.  We gathered under the stars where the drum circle and fire dancing led us into the early hours of the morning.

A deliciously fun time and hopefully a future tradition, Choktober Fest was a smashing and scrumptious success.
