Choktoberfest 2011: A Halloween Cacao Masquerade

Choktoberfest marks the end of the tropical rainy season and the beginning of dry sunny days. Known as the “food of the gods”, cacao and chocolate were also called upon by both Mayan and Incan ancestors in times of ritual celebration. Cacao, unfermented chocolate, is a native and abundant superfood here in Nicaragua, which stimulates anandamides (bliss chemicals) and mimicks the psychotropic effects caused by plant-derived cannabinoid drugs. Join us as we celebrate the end of the darkness and the dawning of the light with a mythic masquerade and blissful dance party powered by the magical properties of cacoa!
